Pavel Kříž/ Pavel Kryz´s current exhibition presents the collection of paintings and drawings of the last decade. Showing seemingly common situations set in unexpected circumstances, Kryz´s art blends together standard everyday narratives with stories that may seem disturbing and inciting the feelings of uncertainty. This juxtaposition may even lead the audience to questions as whatever might have happened and what might these newly developed relations indicate. In this sense Kryz builds on the heritage of the early 20th century Magical Realism, an artistic genre that used to surprise the spectators with strange and incomprehensible relations  

Pavel Kryz is a Prague based AVU graduate, painter and graphic artist whose works of art are present in the galleries and private collections all around the world. He took part in study internship in Switzerland, Germany, France and Italy. For several years, he has been working in his studio in the centre of Prague.
